Fun Seattle Headshot Session!

I spent a few incredible hours this past Sunday laughing, drinking coffee and having some picture fun with the crazy beautiful and hilarious Kinsey L. She braved the cold Seattle weather and was the perfect partner for going on a photo adventure around Georgetown and it's wild ways. Side note: this little Seattle gem is full of personality and chicness. It's Brooklyn meets Seattle. Record stores and exposed brick buildings and funky coffee shops all within a few blocks of each other. Yes please.

So I don't know how it keeps happening that the most incredible clients keep coming my way, but I never want it to end. Ever. I don't think I could have wished for a better client than Kinsey. As soon as we met for the shoot, she was ready to go. On her A-game. And the pictures show it! She's also an absolute natural, this girl knows how to work a camera! She was giving me top model in a serious way! Loved it!

Beautiful? Check. Spunky? Mmhmm. Hilarious? Duh. World, meet Kinsey. This girl is just ooooozing with talent and bursting with life. I mean, you can just tell she's going places. Look at her! Ugh, I'm gushing.

smiling at the sun

I've been trying to take some pictures of the spectacular sunrise/sunsets that we've been seeing in Seattle these past few days, but it has been challenging to be in the right place at the right time. Also every time I see one, I always opt to smile contently and breathe deeply rather than reach for my camera. And when I do take a picture, I'm always unsatisfied with them because they don't quite do justice to the beauty of these moments. Phew, that was a lot! You can see why there's been a delay in showing you these :)

I'm also beginning to believe that that whole "it rains all the time" thing people tell you about Seattle is a total lie and trick to keep people from overcrowding this gorgeous town. We've seen 95% sunshine and 5% clouds in the past months. I have been completely spoiled by all these sunny days!

Okay, well despite my not being 100% satisfied with these shots, I thought I'd share anyway so you could see a bit of what I see. Enjoy and happy December!

Anytime Shoot: (the most perfect) Mr. Snug

How perfect is mr. snug? Let us count the ways.

1. He is full of wrinkles. Wrinkles everywhere.
2. He breathes really, really loud.
3. He knows how to make an entrance... slow, focused and at his own pace.
4. He drools. It's a sign of love if you manage to get some snug drool on you.
5. He high-fives. (what?! best dog ever.)
6. He loves you. Does he know you? No. But he still loves you.
7. His name can be worked into any song. Fact. (I've seen it done and it's a beautiful thing.)
8. He is the star of the Marketing Cocoon at L148. The stah, I tell you.
9. He eats boxes. (link)
10. He is a napping fool. I seriously wish I could nap as much as this guy. Snug so tired....

This list could go on, but I have to equally love all my clients or else they'll start to get jealous of my snug-lovin'.

This was my first go at pet photography, and after this session I'm 100% hooked. Snug was the most chill, low-key client in the history of clients. The camera loved him and I loved him! Plus we got to play with toys, run around, pause for naps and cool off on the tile floor (while breathing very, very loud). Oh, and we got some high-fives. best. shoot. ever.

Here are a few of my faves from the day!
